Processing of personal data on this website is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679, “GDPR”) and the Danish Data Protection Act (Consolidation Act No. 502 of 23 May 2018 on supplementary provisions to the regulation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the disclosure of information — the “Data Protection Act” / databeskyttelsesloven), including rules on processing for other legitimate purposes where applicable.

2. What Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact information: name, email address — provided voluntarily through our contact form.
  • Message content: the text of messages submitted via the contact form.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited — collected automatically through cookies and server logs.
  • Cookie preferences: your consent choices regarding cookie categories.

We do not ask you to provide special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR, e.g. health data) through the website. If you include such information in a free-text message, you do so voluntarily and we will process it only to handle your inquiry, where necessary with your consent or another applicable legal basis.

3. Sources of Personal Data

We receive personal data directly from you when you use the contact form, and indirectly through cookies, similar technologies, and server logs when you browse the website, in accordance with your cookie choices.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries (legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • To operate and improve the website (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To analyze website usage through analytics cookies (legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal obligations (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To measure and improve the effectiveness of online advertising, including conversion measurement and similar analytics where you have accepted marketing or analytics cookies (legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; and, where ePrivacy rules apply, your consent under national law implementing the ePrivacy Directive).

We do not use solely automated decision-making, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above:

  • Contact form submissions: up to 12 months after the last communication.
  • Analytics data: up to 26 months.
  • Cookie consent records: up to 12 months.

After the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

6. Data Sharing and Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Service providers who assist in website hosting and analytics, bound by data processing agreements.
  • Legal authorities when required by law.

Where you consent to analytics or marketing technologies, data may be processed by providers such as Google Ireland Limited (for example Google Ads or Google Analytics, if implemented on the site). Such providers act as independent controllers or processors according to their terms; we select configurations that rely on consent where required. You can read their privacy information on their official websites.

7. International Transfers

If your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure adequate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, supplemented where required by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or other valid mechanisms.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: request a copy of your personal data.
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction: request limitation of data processing.
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent: withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Rights related to automated decision-making: where Article 22 GDPR applies in the future, you have the right to human intervention, to express your point of view, and to contest the decision. We currently do not carry out such processing.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at feedback@phodlarnchithis.world. We will respond without undue delay and in any event within one month, which may be extended by two further months where necessary (Article 12 GDPR).

Providing contact form data is voluntary, but we cannot handle your inquiry without the information you choose to send.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security assessments.

10. Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. For detailed information about types, purposes, storage, and how to withdraw consent, please see our Cookie Policy.

11. Children

This website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have received information about a child under 16, please contact us so we can delete it.
